Euphonik opens up on true love, picking the correct marriage partner and his upcoming project
If a picture is worth a thousand words; then you are in for words unending. When it comes to Euphonik (real name Themba Nkosi), a thousand-and-one words are not enough. Apart from being a crowd pleaser of note and a spectacle to behold, he has soul. A lot of soul.
He is known for his trademark smile, relaxed composure and driving the crowds wild with his distinct tunes. You are welcome to join us as we delve a little deeper. Wedding Anthem catches up with the man behind it all to find out about his views on true love, cautions on picking the correct marriage partner and who he is.
Interviewed by popular demand, without further ado, here's your one and only...
In one sentence, who is Euphonik?
I'm a DJ and all round house-music lover from Mpumalanga, but I now live in the big city of dreams and boy do I follow my dreams!
In a nutshell, please tell our readers a little bit more about you...
I'm firstly a DJ, but now also present on 5FM. I also have a TV show that I host together with DJ Fresh. I'm also a key member of the Soulcandi team and we release house-music compilations.
Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
I'm currently working on my album for 2012. It is called "For the love of house - Total Blackout". I'm also busy with a project called DJ101 with Black Coffee. It's a workshop where we give our skills back to other aspiring DJs. Other than that, I've got a property business and an events business that keeps me very busy.
How do you find a balance between what you do and who you are?
Luckily, I neither let fame get to my head nor do I care about it. So I don't really pay attention to the attention I get; be it good or bad. I do what I love and love what I do and I pray a lot.
We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
Yes definitely! It starts with self love and I believe when you truly love someone, it's when their happiness and well-being is more important than yourself.
Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
Yes, of course but I do believe in being EXTREMELY cautious when picking your partner.
Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
Yeah!! Just read your blog! Love it!
Thanks, glad to hear that! Anything else you would love mention?
People should look out for a project I'm going to be part of next year called "Building Bridges through music". It's going to be really huge with international DJs and other stakeholders who are going to get involved.
